Pencil Dresses

Our obsession at the moment is the must-have pencil dress. This little number is great for any occasion, whether it be work, drinks with the girls, a date, dinner or even the races (which are just around the corner ladies!!).

Tips for pulling off the perfect pencil dress:
  • A great fit is important. A pencil dress should be slightly tighter around your hips, you don't want any excess material around this area. This is meant to be a curve hugging piece which will show off your great figure!
  • The hem of the dress should come to the knee, some may come just above or just below, but in our eyes, a pencil dress should be classy and lady like - not short.
  • Accessorize! A thin waist belt always looks great on a pencil dress and gives it that finishing touch. Try a pair of pumps or stilettos - closed toe or open toe will both suit this little number!
  • If you plan on wearing something over the top to keep you warm, opt for a crop - or something no longer than the top of your hips. A pencil dress can easily get lost in a longer cardigan/blazer, making the look a little frumpy.
