Welcome to 2015 ladies and gentleman!
For the first blog entry of 2015, we thought we'd give a little insight on our fashion forcasts for what we think will be trending this year. Have a browse through and keep these in mind for your next shopping trip - we promise you will be on point!First off the rank, and classic as always - BLACK. A beautiful structured figure hugging dress reaching the knees or below with an open coat and a pair of low stilettos - it's one of our favourites, and a completely timeless look. Keep in mind this look is fanastic in ANY colour, we call it the Kim Kardashian. You will notice Kim may wear a dress, a coat and shoes all in the same tone. It's fabulous and we love it. This works great in camel, white, navy and pastels.
Gingham is our next fashion forecast. It's that cool, fresh look that dresses up a piece that's generally pretty casual. Try a gingham skirt with a basic top that ties at the waist and some heels, or the jumper below with some white denim and sneakers. Oh, and be extra careful with the colours you choose, so you don't end up looking like Dorothy, or even worse - a picnic rug!
After keeping a close eye on the red carpets lately, we are thinking the fringe is going to come back in a big, big way. Remember - simplicity is key. Try the vest (top right) with black jeans and low boots, or the flapper dress with a lace up heel. Create your look around one piece of fringe and let your inner rock star out.
Flares, you say? Absolutely! 70's mood is expected to burst onto the scene again, and we are totally digging it. There is nothing about this look that we don't love and can't wait to see it in our wardrobe.
In 2014 we did see a little monochrome, but we think the best is yet to come. The classic black and white style, a tucked in shirt to a high waist skirt, a white paneled skirt with a black tee, you name it and monochrome has a way of taking two shades and making the most bold statement.
Metallics will slowly make their way back and bring in some really beautiful tones. Ranging from structured to sporty to slouchy, this is amazing with a spray tan and some pastel lippy.
Sporty chic is perfect for the girl who likes to keep active and keep it stylish all in one. Stripes and bright colours keep this look bold with a pair of platforms or metallic sneakers and an over the shoulder bomber jacket. Love!
So here's to an awesome 2015 fashionistas! We can't wait to see what you come up with x
